In 1984, Mike Kimberling began selling fireworks to his community from an 8x10 wooden stand. Since then, Mike was able to keep growing his firework business while opening permanent firework stores throughout Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Wyoming.

Mike has worked with most major fireworks wholesalers and suppliers in the United States, but then in 2011, he started Sky Thunder Fireworks so he could import products directly from China. Mike has traveled to China many times to bring back the very best fireworks and firework supplies, which provide outstanding variety, quality, and availability to the Sky Thunder Fireworks customers. Mike continues to communicate almost every day with the fireworks factories in China to stay up to date on an ever-changing business.
